This is the same view pointing towards Mazwenzi peak the
following morning. The clouds stayed clear for a
few moments after we woke up, but by the time I got my
camera out, the clouds had obscured the peaks once
again. I did find out that the peak I had seen the
night before was not in fact the Kilimanjaro Peak.
It is actually off to the right in this photo. I
did get a quick glimpse of that peak before the clouds
moved in.
The two tents in the foreground are our two sleeping
tents. The North Face tent was the designated
one-person tent, with the Marmot tent being a touch
larger. Notice the hiking poles holding up the
socks in rainfly. That is Gary and Josh's attempt
to dry out their socks from the hike the day before. |
